More ways to donate

Donations from UK tax payers are worth an extra 25p for every £1 donated at no extra cost to you. If you are currently a UK taxpayer and you tick the Gift Aid declaration when you donate, we can claim back 25p for every £1 that you donate. Once signed, your Gift Aid declaration it is valid for all your gifts in the future.

Donating to where the need is greatest is the most helpful, as it means we can spread funds to the areas who are in the most need at our hospitals. However, we understand that you may want to donate directly to a specific area. So, please mention this to us. 

Many large organisations are willing to ‘match’ contributions made by their employees who are either making donations to, or fundraising on behalf of, a registered charity, effectively doubling the donation. Check with your employer to see if this option is available.

While your generosity is appreciated, donating financially allows us to support funds where the need is greatest. Due to controls and regulations, we are unable to accept second hand items in the hospital. However if they are brand new and in perfect condition, we could sell the gifted items at our regular charity stalls which help raise funds for our hospitals. 

Yes, you can. Please make cheques payable to King George and Queen’s Hospitals Charity. Kindly include a note on the back of the cheque with your contact details and specify if we can claim Gift Aid to make your donation go that extra bit further.

We would encourage donations not to be restricted as this allows us to support areas in greatest need. However, please ring us if you wish to buy something for a specific area.
