Senior Occupational Therapist Kamalamathi Baskaran at BHRUT reached out to our charity for support in enhancing the Recovery Coaching Exercise Programme on the elderly care wards at King George Hospital.
This fantastic initiative helps older patients stay active, regain independence in daily tasks, and even shorten their hospital stay.
Thanks to a joint effort between our charity and The League of Friends of KGH, we’ve funded essential items such as hot flasks, lower limb dressing equipment, hand, ankle, and wrist exercise tools, as well as adaptations for washing and dressing. We’ve also provided group games to encourage social interaction and engagement.
We recently visited one of the wards to see these items in action during an exercise session - and the patients absolutely loved it!
