As you can tell our Children’s Emergency Department (ED) staff are excited to receive two new iPads and cases, thanks to the support from The League of Friends of King George Hospital!

Working alongside them, we’re able to make this donation possible through our charity. The ED can be an overwhelming experience for children and their families, and the whole team works hard to create a positive and supportive environment. IPads are a useful tool in the department, offering distraction and comfort to children during their treatments.

Cathy Wenn, Senior Sister at the department, shared: “Children today are accustomed to using technology, and having access to familiar, comforting programmes helps ease their anxiety.”
